Dunolly Gilbert & Sullivan Society

The Dunolly Gilbert & Sullivan Society was established in 2012 by Rachel Buckley, a newcomer to the town. This enthusiastic group of local performers has staged fully costumed productions of classic Gilbert & Sullivan operettas such as Trial By Jury, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, The Gondoliers, and Iolanthe.

The society welcomes guest singers from Melbourne who join in and mentor local singers. Performances are typically held at the Dunolly Town Hall and in neighboring towns. The society is known for its relaxed rehearsals, where no auditions are required, and participants don’t need to read music. They encourage audience participation, making their shows a fun and engaging experience for everyone.
